CARLI OJOPI& CARLOS RÍOS

Carli Ojopi & Carlos Ríos

Two voices, two guitars and new ways of inhabiting Bolivian music.

The project.

Carli Ojopi & Carlos Ríos began in La Paz in 2025, bringing together two approaches to Bolivian music: the interpretative experience of a singer deeply rooted in its folk traditions and the perspective of an arranger exploring new ways of listening to them.

The duo reinterprets Bolivian songs and musical traditions in an intimate setting of two voices and two guitars. Arrangement, harmony and sound offer a fresh perspective on familiar repertoire while preserving what makes it resonate: singing, storytelling, sharing and celebrating.

Alongside these reinterpretations, original compositions form part of a repertoire that moves between contemplative moments and music for singing, playing guitar and dancing together.

  1. Bolivian music revisited through new arrangements, harmonies, textures and approaches to performance.
